Description

The Williston Basin, which includes the Bakken Shale, is located in the north-central United States, primarily in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana. At the start of 2023, the daily production was 1,57 million BOE per day and increased to 1,8 million BOE per day as of November 2023. In March 2024, production levels were recorded at approximately 1,300,000 barrels per day, with contributions from North Dakota and Eastern Montana.
