Telecommunications Infrastructure (Fiber Optic Cables & More)

A newcomer to our ever-growing data family, the Telecommunication Infrastructure Dataset was developed after numerous requests from our customers, and its finally here.

Currently consisting of two layers:

  • Fiber Optic Cables
  • Data Centers

New layers are scheduled to be released soon!

Our coverage spans North America (including the U.S., Canada, and Mexico) and encompasses over half a million miles of fiber optic cables managed by around 400 companies. These fiber cables come with various attributes such as owner, operator, types, and services offered, all digitized with high accuracy, often with submeter error margins. The coverage includes long-haul backbone, regional backbone, metro backbone, and, in some instances, metro last mile. The service types range from dark fiber to lit fiber services.

In addition, our data center network features nearly 3,000 locations across North America, operated by more than 1,000 companies. These data centers come with detailed, verified information, including attributes such as size, power consumption, services offered, certifications, and more.
