Washington, D.C. 20426 Re: Golden Triangle Storage, Inc., Docket No. CP11-___-000 Abbreviated Application for Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity Authorizing Storage Expansion and Continuation of Market-Based Rates Dear Ms. Bose: Pursuant to Section 7(c) of the Natural Gas Act, 15 U.S.C. 717f(c)(2006), and Part 157, Subpart A of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commissions (Commissions) regulations thereunder, 18 C.F.R. Part 157 et seq., Subpart A (2011), Golden Triangle Storage, Inc. (Golden Triangle) submits for electronic filing an abbreviated application for certificate of public convenience and necessity to expand its existing natural gas storage operations (Application), authorized by the Commission on December 31, 2007, in Docket Nos. CP07-414-000, et al.1 Through this Application, Golden Triangle requests authorization to expand its existing natural gas storage operations through the construction and operation of two new salt dome storage caverns and appurtenant facilities in Jefferson County, Texas. As fully explained in the Application, the proposed expansion will take place entirely within the existing boundaries of Golden Triangles 90-acre Central Storage Site and will require only minimal land disturbance or other environmental impacts. Golden Triangle also requests the continuation of its existing market-based rate authorization to include services rendered from the proposed expansion capacity. Golden Triangle also requests waivers of certain Commission regulations, as discussed in Section VII of the Application. .
