O&G Divisions responsibility with respect to the Elbridge/Nevins facilities encompasses the following: 1. Gas storage injection/withdrawal well permitting. 2. Observation well permitting. 3. Class II UIC well permitting. 4. Produced water storage pond permitting. 5. Unitization filling. Permitting of water supply wells for the facility will be through the Illinois Department of Public Health. According to Doug Shutt, the injection/withdrawal wells will need an additional directional drill survey to be submitted because Tom indicated that they would be horizontally drilled in the storage zone. Well permits are good for one (1) year. However, if construction has started within one year, but the well is not completed, the permits may be administratively extended for an additional year. Permits can be renewed if work hasnt started. Observation wells do not need to abide by the 300 foot setback; that limit is for production wells.
