The project would provide total liquefaction capacity of about 978 billion cubic feet per year (Bcf/yr) of natural gas. The LNG would be loaded on to LNG carriers for export to overseas markets. To assist in the scoping process for this project, EPA has identified several issues for your attention in the preparation of the EIS and has enclosed detailed scoping comments for your consideration. Our comments are provided pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) regulations (40 CFR Parts 1500-1508) and Section 309 of the Clean Air Act.
