My name is Kathleen Bowers. I live 4 miles from the 15,000 hp Millenium Pipeline Company (MPC) Hancock Compressor Station (CS) in Long Eddy Ny. I could comment on the Methane leaks, air pollution and health risks associated wth CS but instead i will submit those facts in paper form and comment here about the experiences of a family with 2 young children who live across the street from this CS. Approx. 650 feet. Remember MPC commented at hearings about being a "Good Neighbor". Pot holes and sink holes as well as mud that would cause an average sadan to bottom out and get stuck. This caused desul fumes to enter the home. Loud noise and bright lights would shine on the house all night. On 2 occations the family was evacuated. Once was an emergency evacuation due to an accident while working on the pipeline. of the methane A blowdown in the pipeline needed to happen ASAP and the family was told to leave right away at 10pm at night. The second time was a scheduled blowdown for the connection of the CS to the pipeline. ...
